A clearer way forward
Fifteen years in the trade before I moved into software. I owned a painting business, worked as a production manager, and spent plenty of days cutting in ceilings myself. That's the reason this page exists and the reason it reads differently to the rest of the site.
Here's what I know that most marketing agencies don't.
Your problem usually isn't lead volume. Ask around and every painter will tell you they've bought leads before and they were garbage — shared with four other contractors, price shoppers, tyre-kickers. That's true, and it's also not the whole story. The bigger leak is that a decent proportion of the enquiries you already get never turn into an estimate, because somebody called at 2pm on a Thursday when you were on site, left a voicemail, and called the next name on the list before you got back to the truck.
Then there's the season. Exterior work compresses into a few months here, and the marketing that makes sense in May is the wrong marketing for November. Most agencies run the same campaign year-round because it's easier to manage, which means you're paying for exterior leads in October and missing the interior repaint market entirely.
And the estimate itself does more selling than anything upstream of it. A quote that arrives in two days with photos, a clear scope and a real number wins against one scribbled on the back of a business card a week later — even at a higher price. That's not marketing, exactly, but it's where marketing money actually converts, so it's in scope.
So the work here is: campaigns that respect the season and the service area, enquiries that route to somebody immediately, automated follow-up that keeps working when you're up a ladder, and a picture of which jobs actually came from where.

Lead Generation System
Starting at CA$2,000A complete system for getting painting enquiries and converting them into booked estimates. Campaigns run against your actual service area, enquiries route straight to whoever books work, and automated follow-up handles the callbacks that get missed when you're on a ladder. Built around the reality that most painting leads are lost to response time, not to price.

- Automated follow-up
- Conversion tracking

How the work moves
Work out your numbers
Average job size, what proportion of estimates close, how many enquiries you're getting now. Without these, any campaign is guesswork and you can't tell whether it worked.
Fix the response first
Before spending on ads, we make sure an enquiry gets acknowledged fast — automatically if necessary. This costs little and usually produces the first improvement.
Build the season's campaign
Creative from your own job photos, targeting the neighbourhoods and property types you actually want, with an offer that filters out price shoppers rather than attracting them.
Track to booked work
Not clicks, not leads. Which campaigns produced estimates, and which estimates became jobs.
Adjust with the season
Campaigns shift as exterior work winds down and interior picks up, rather than running unchanged into a season that doesn't want them.
Who this is for
Built for established painting contractors — residential or commercial — who are past the one-truck stage and want the schedule filled more predictably than referrals alone manage.
Particularly if:
- You've bought shared leads before and found them poor
- Enquiries come in during the day and get returned in the evening, if at all
- Your busy season is frantic and your slow season is genuinely slow
- You can't say which of your jobs last year came from where
Who this is not for
Not the right fit if:
- You're just starting out and don't have crew capacity yet. Get busy on referrals first; paid leads you can't service cost you reviews.
- You want to compete on being the cheapest quote. That's a race this approach won't help you win.
- You want leads and nothing else. The follow-up is the part that works, and separating them wastes your money.
- You're not willing to look at your own close rate honestly. We'll ask, and the numbers drive everything after that.
Questions before we start
Let's look at your numbers first
Bring your average job size, roughly what proportion of estimates you close, and how enquiries reach you today. Twenty minutes with those three things will tell us more than any proposal written without them.
